GENERAL OBJECTIVES & SPECIFIC ...

 


1) Contribute to advocacy and national awareness for the respect of human rights of people living in relative disabilities a 'UN convention:


Specific objectives

a) train and assist the leaders of the 64 member associations and institutions in advocacy techniques
b) develop, in consultation with member associations and institutions and / or other institution, a national outreach program on the rights of people living with disabilities.


2) Strengthen the capacity of various associations and institutions FHAIPH members to better meet the needs of their beneficiaries and the community.


Specific objectives
a) Training of 20 officers as trainers in developing, managing, monitoring and project evaluation.
b) forming at least 120 leaders in development, managements, project monitoring and evaluation,
c) Training of at least 120 leaders in strategic planning techniques
d) strengthen the administrative capacity of at least 64 member institutions and associations.


3) To represent the various member associations and institutions through any form of national or international event as part of their interests.


4) Promote and facilitate, in consultation with member associations and institutions and / or other institution, integration and socio-economic inclusion, political and cultural life of people living in Haiti disabilities.


Specific objectives
a) facilitate the integration of member associations and institutions at national elections
b) contribute to 'the establishment of five special schools in the profits of the disabled
c) contribute to the structural reinforcement of 10 special schools in Haiti
d) provide economic and technical assistance to 50 member associations and institutions for the development of SMEs to facilitate their financial empowerment.
e) to facilitate, in cooperation with the associations and member institutions, integration of at least 100 people with disabilities in the labor market,
f) to facilitate, together with the 64 member associations and institutions, the development of artistic talents of 300 people with disabilities.
g) facilitating vocational training of at least 1,000 people with disabilities in the areas of sewing, cooking, cosmetology, carpentry, electricity, auto mechanics, computer troubleshooting, office, manufacturing Prosthetics and Orthotics.


5) Promote and facilitate cooperation projects between FHAIPH and its members and / or any national or foreign institution for the improvement of living conditions of people living with disabilities.


Specific objectives
a) promote and sign at least 10 partnerships in health and economic fields.
b) Ensure the implementation of two projects with new partners.


6) Promote and facilitate, in consultation with member associations and institutions will, participation of people with disabilities in sports activities and to domestic and international Paralympic Games under the tutelage of the "National Paralympic Committee of Haiti" Accredited " International Paralympic Committee":


Specific objectives
a) facilitate the creation of at least 20 associations or sports clubs in the disciplines of football for amputees, athletics, table tennis, basketball and bocce on wheelchair
b) participate, in cooperation with the National Paralympic Committee and Special Olympics to the organization of at least 10 regional competitions annually and a national disabled sports competition.
c) To contribute to the structural reinforcement of national committees Paralympic and Special Olympics.


7) Promote and facilitate the participation of people with intellectual disabilities in sports and games Special Olympics national and international under the tutelage of "National Special Olympics Committee of Haiti" accredited by the "International Special Olympics Committee".
8) To contribute to the updating of the disability community in Haiti.
9) To contribute, together with the member associations and institutions, to improve physical and mental health conditions of people living with disabilities.


Specific objectives
a) Training the leaders of associations and institutions in psychosocial rehabilitation,
b) create service centers "psycho-social".

 

10) Promote and facilitate the establishment of associations and institutions of people with disabilities in areas or 'the need arises.
11) Promote and facilitate the integration of member associations and institutions and their beneficiaries in the New Information Technology and Communications (ICT) as well as intercommunication with and between members of the FHAIPH:


Specific objectives
a) strengthening the capacity of member associations and institutions to information and communication technologies
b) forming the leaders of member associations and institutions in information technology
c) create a quarterly newsletter on the activities of associations and institutions FHAIPH members and all organizations working in the sector.


12) Promote and facilitate, in cooperation with the associations and member institutions, the accessibility of people experiencing disability-adapted equipment, and physical environment in both the public and private sectors:

a) strengthening the capacity of organizations and institutions will members adapted equipment
b) contribute to the environmental accessibility of associations and institutions of members FHAIPH.


13) conduct research activities and development together with member associations and institutions and / or other institution for the improvement of the lives of people living with disabilities:

STRENGTS

  1. Training and development of handisport . 

  2. Youth training in leadership, volunteerism, expertise and advocacy training.  

  3. Accessibility and visibility of the head office.

  4. The structure of the organization consists of three groups:
       -     Disability categories (intellectual, sensory and physical )
        -    Activity area.
        -   The four (4) major geographic regions: the Far  North, South, West and            Central.

  5. Good ability in project development.

  6. Development of a model and an inclusion policy.

  7. Development of a National Network of Volunteers
    and the decentralization of FHAIPH on ten (10)
    departments.

  8. Use of ICT: the web page of FHAIPH and FACEBOOK.

  9. Our credibility and transparency with our partners.

  10. Good knowledge of the living conditions of persons
    with disabilities national scale after the study.

  2. Intercommunication Difficulty with network members.

  3. Private own head office to the institution.

  4. Leading alternating problems within the institution.

  5. Problems punctuality and availability of members of FHAIPH.

  6. Lack of academic and professional training of leaders.

  7. Availability of members has the NICT.

  8. Administrative transport problems.

  9. Financial Limitations FHAIPH to integrate more people with Disabilities in administration.

  10. Passivity of some members.

The main aims

  1. Promote the rights and interests of disability  personss.

  2. provide technical support to the various institutions and associations of disabled people in order to better meet the needs of their members.

  4. represent the various institutions or associations of disabled people through all forms of national or international event in the framework of their interests.

  5. promote school integration, professional, social Disability.

  6. sensitize the Haitian society to the needs of the disabled in haiti.

  7. promote economic development associations and institutions working in Haiti in the disability field.

  8. promote coorperation projects between members and any national instition, foreign working in the field of disability.

  9. Promoting the participation of disabled people in sports activities and to domestic and international Paralympic Games under the tutelage of haiti Paralympic Committee and Acredite by the International Paralympic Committee.

  10. Promoting the participation of disabled people in sports activities and special national and international Olympics games under the supervision of Special Olympics Committee of haiti and Acredite by the International Olympic Committee Special.

  11. Ensuring the FHAIPH affiliation to various national and international bodies sponsoring various development program for the benefit of disabled people.

  12. facilitate the exchange of expertise between the different actors working in the field of disability.

  13. refresh the disability community in Haiti.

  14. Promote the creation of associations and institutions in regions where the necessity is felt.
